But the good news for conscious consumers is that Natean's toothpastes are packaged using recyclable materials*.
And what's more, we know that consumers are concerned about the BPAs - that's why our tubes are BPA-free.

Nature has been good to us: after all, the planet provides natural flavors and botanicals that we combine with science to make our toothpastes something worth smiling about. The last thing we want to do is contribute to the climate crisis.
Carefully designed and selected, all Natean tubes contain Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials and are recyclable*.
What does it all mean? We get it - all this terminology can be confusing. That's why we want to be clear about everything that goes into our packaging as well as into our toothpastes.
Here's the lowdown:
What are our Natean toothpaste cartons made from? Our cartons are made using sustainably sourced paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Not familiar with the FSC? It's an international, non-profit organization that sets standards for responsible forest management.
What are Natean toothpaste tubes made from? Every Natean tube contains PCR (post-consumer recycled) plastic and is recyclable: the carton, tube, and cap* can all go right back into recycling, which means you get a feel-good clean that goes full circle.
What are PCR plastics? Short for Post-Consumer Recycled (and sometimes called Post Consumer Resin), PCR plastic is made from existing materials such as PET bottles and other plastics. By giving a second life to plastics already in circulation, PCR plastic is seen as a sustainable, environmentally-sound packaging solution that reduces the impact on landfill and on the environment.
What are BPAs, and why don't we use them in our packaging? Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical used to make polycarbonate plastics - the durable type of plastic commonly used in a range of products, including some drinks bottles and food containers.
Research suggests that BPAs in some plastics can leach into food and liquids packaged in those plastics. Consumers concerned about exposure to BPAs often try to avoid packaging that contains them. That's why our toothpaste tubes are BPA-free.
At Natean, we take our ingredients seriously - we use all the good stuff you want in a toothpaste and none of the stuff you don't. And that policy extends to the materials we use in our packaging.
